‘Mazava’ means ‘light’ in Malagasy. It’s also the name of a sportswear production company that has its manufacturing centers in Tanzania, Haiti, and Madagascar. The work that takes place in these three facilities is based not just on the supply chain, but also on humanity and collaboration. We captured the strength and beauty of the workers with a 16mm film camera and collaborated with them to compose an original music score.
