Alessandro, born in 1991 in Rome, is a composer, sound designer, and director of intermedial projects. He studied digital audiovisual composition and sound engineering at the Electronic Music Department of the Licinio Refice Conservatory of Frosinone. In his audiovisual projects he treats every sound, from field recordings, concrete-synthesized sounds, to music, as a single sound stream, creating multiple levels of meaning and dialogue between sound and images. He has a great interest in preserving the soundscape of the planet, recording and giving importance to every sonic detail he encounters wherever he goes.
One of his goals is to bear witness to his personal journey through audiovisual streams, sharing his way of interpreting life as a transition through different states. He mainly works as a sound designer, composer, and sound mixer. The projects on which he worked have been selected for international festivals such as La Biennale di Venezia, Nastri d’Argento, Rome Film Fest, Palm Springs Film Festival, the International Computer Music Conference, and the Sound and Music Computing Conference.
